The legal battle between NBA star Anthony Edwards and Ayesha Howard over their 4-month-old daughter, Aubri Summers, is getting more intense. After court documents revealed that Edwards has no interest in custody or visitation, Howard took to Instagram to shut down claims that she “trapped” him.

“I don’t normally out my DMs but listen, please stop the ‘trapped’ and the one-night stand narrative… this man started pursuing me back in 2022 and literally did not stop pursuing me until he got me and Aubri. He did all of the choosing,” Howard wrote.

This comes after Edwards scored a legal win when a judge ruled that California does not have jurisdiction over their child support case, moving the battle to Georgia. Despite a December 2024 DNA test confirming paternity, Edwards made it clear in court that he wants no involvement beyond financial obligations, stating, “I am not seeking child custody or visitation of Aubri.”

Howard claims that Edwards completely cut ties after she revealed her pregnancy and even told her their daughter would be a “fatherless child.” His legal team has argued that her actions are a “bad faith attempt” to secure a higher child support order.

With a custody hearing set for March 20, the case remains ongoing, and tensions between the two continue to escalate.
