The Wendell Fireworks Show is back with a BANG this year! We are excited to see everyone at Wendell Park for our annual celebration of the nation’s independence. 

What: Fireworks, food trucks and music — a community event open to all! 

When: 
July 2, 2025, park opens at 6 PM, fireworks at ~9 PM. Wendell Park will be closed at 9 PM July 1 and all day July 2 until the event time. 

Where: Wendell Park, 601 W. Third Street in Wendell. 

Getting There: All arrivals must use Landing View Drive to approach Wendell Park, as W. Third Street and Martin Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic during the event. Landing View Drive can be accessed via Wendell Falls Parkway. Please follow the instructions from all staff and officers on site. 

Street Closures: 
W. Third Street and Martin Street, beginning at approximately 3:00 PM on July 2. 

Food Trucks: 
Pelican Snowballs, Cheese Curd Shack, Golden K, Chick-N-Que, Southern Q, Caribbean Kicker, Empanadas RD, Poblanos Tacos, Magnificent Concessions, JAM Ice Cream, Jessica’s Food Truck, Levy’s Jerk Stand, Tacos Campa, Jolly’s Food Truck, Jolly’s Snack Wagon, Kona Ice, The Mac House Food Truck, and Piori Pizza. 

Dropoffs: Spectators can be dropped off in front of the Wendell Town Hall, at 409 Landing View Drive, across the street from the park area, there is a loop driveway at the building for this purpose. 

Handicap Accessibility: 
Handicap parking will be available at the Wendell Park tennis courts, with shuttle services available on-site for those spectators. 

Restrooms: Portable restrooms will be available on-site for all to utilize. 

Spectator Line: There will be staff on-site to ensure no individual crosses the marked spectator line. Please adhere to all instructions and please DO NOT, under any circumstances, cross the spectator line. This is to ensure safety of all, especially while firework launches are occurring. 

What TO Bring: Blankets, chairs and activities for the family to enjoy! 

What NOT to Bring: Please refrain from bringing coolers, pets or personal fireworks (including sparklers), so we can keep this a safe event for everyone. 

Leaving: Wendell Park will close immediately after the fireworks end. Spectators are urged to promptly leave so that our staff can begin clean up. Please prepare for some traffic delays heading southbound on Landing View Drive as folks leave the area. The Wendell Police Department will be stationed throughout the area to ensure safety and traffic flow.
