R&B singer Trey Songz is under a police investigation after allegedly punching a photographer and damaging his equipment outside a New York event over the weekend.

Photographer Isaa Mansoor told TMZ Monday that the event occurred Sunday morning at The Ivy in Huntington, where the singer was scheduled to make an appearance. Mansoor said that he was scheduled to shoot the event.

According to Mansoor, a dispute happened when a group of fans requested photos and videos of Songz, causing him to get angry. Songz then walked outside, where the owner asked Mansoor to get photos and videos of the singer near the venue logo in front of the building. Mansoor said he began filming again and that’s when the singer then punched him in the side of the head, pushed him against a wall and smashed two of his cameras.

The owner then got involved and told the singer that Mansoor was hired, to which Songz responded, “I don’t give a f***.” Mansoor told TMZ that Songz was aware that the venue owner had hired a photographer for the event.

Songz fled the scene and Mansoor retreated to a friend’s vehicle to file a police report. Local authorities said that the singer is now under investigation.

Mansoor underwent treatment at the hospital, where he learned he suffered from a concussion, ankle pain and a migraine. He has since been released from the hospital.
