It was 1991 all over again last night on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” as Bell Biv DeVoe took the stage to perform their hit single “Poison” for the broadcast. The group, who performed with The Roots backing them up, also performed “Do Me” as a web exclusive.

On the Valentines Day episode of Chris Rock‘s HBO talk show in 1997, D’Angelo performed with an all-star band including Raphael Saadiq, ?uestlove of The Roots, Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest and the late Chalmers “Spanky” Alford. The quintet, which was unofficially known as Linwood Rose, performed D’Angelo’s hit single “Lady.”

On February 14th, 1991, Boyz II Men‘s debut album, Cooleyhighharmony, hit stores officially introducing the Philadelphia quartet to he world.  The album was an instant success, thanks to the album’s lead single “MotownPhilly.”
