Today 149 drivers on Interstate 40 in Wake County were issued A total of 170 citations within 2 hours.
Charges included one person who was texting while driving, one fugitive, two people driving with revoked licenses and three who were driving without a license.
Officials are calling it the “No Need 2 Speed effort” and it began Monday and runs through Nov. 28.
Officers are focusing on drivers exceeding the posted speed limit on interstates and major four-lane highways. SO SLOW DOWN!!!!
