A locally produced commercial that ran during the Super Bowl earned its creators a few extra dollars. “Underdog,” featuring a man outsmarted by a dog for bag of Doritos, won a national competition for Frito-Lay and aired during the first quarter of the Super Bowl.

The add brought home $50,000 for the Frito-Lay ad competition and $600,000 for the second-place ranking in the USA Today Ad Meter.
The company won the same ad competition as well in 2007
