SHOWTIME SAYS…
Last night was a really dope nite not only for NC Hip Hop, but also for Carolina film making. I had the pleasure of viewing the documentary film “The Wonder Year” at Kings in Downtown Raleigh with a crowd who came out to support Carolina’s own 9th Wonder. Friends, fam, and fans all came to check out the film that documented one year in the life of 9th Wonder.
The film was the brainchild of Kenneth Price who followed 9th around for a full year and covered his life in every aspect. We get to watch as 9th’s production takes him all over the world, but also he makes it clear that he is North Carolina born and bred and takes his country upbringing with him everywhere he goes.
With guest appearances from artists and producers like Drake, Alchemist, DJ Premier Young Guru and more we get to see that 9th is a lot more than just a beat maker, he is a force in the industry who gets the utmost respect from his peers.
