A new generation of rappers will join Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five for a rendition of the group’s classic single “The Message” during “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!
Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night.” Rick Ross, Lupe Fiasco and Common will hit the stage to perform “The Message” alongside Grandmaster Flash, Grandmaster Melle Mel and rapper Scorpio. The rappers are celebrating Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five’s induction into the Gramy Hall of Fame for the classic 1982 single.
Other performers during the evening include Ludacris, Usher, Rihanna, Jason Aldean, Lady Gaga, Valerie Simpson, Mike Stoller, Sugarland and others, while Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry are among the presenters. The one-hour special takes place live on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE. The show will also air on CBS from 10-11 p.m.
