Earlier this evening a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed while walking along U.S. 401
According to State Police 42-year-old Fausto Cabeza of Fuquay-Varina was heading south near State Road 1010 outside of Garner when he hit a man with his 2003 Ford van.
Police were unable to identify the man but said that he was a light-skinned African American who appeared to be in his mid 50’s.
