Young Buck has been stuck in a dead end deal with G-Unit Records for some time now, making it difficult for the Nashville-born rapper to release another studio album—his last was 2007’s Buck the World— but this week he finally had some good news to share. According to Young Buck, one of his upcoming projects includes a mixtape, which will be released via Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group.

Buck announced the news after backtracking a bit to detail his most recent projects. “The Rehab mixtape was basically a mixtape that I put out there and it didn’t end up getting distributed,” he said. “As far as my music goes, I’ve put out Back on my Buck Shit Volume 1. And Volume 2, which was produced by Drumma Boy—salute to Drumma Boy. I’m working on a mixtape right now on behalf of Maybach Music. Salute to them.”
