SHOWTIME SAYS…

The manager of a Domino’s Pizza store in Holly Springs has been charged with keeping and selling marijuana out of the restaurant.

Benjamin Crook was charged with  felony possession with intent to distribute marijuana, selling marijuana, delivering marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for marijuana

Crook was investigated in January after police got a tip that someone was selling marijuana from the Domino’s restaurant on Crossway Lane and from his home.

Police used an informant to purchase weed from the suspect at the restaurant by placing an order through text message.  According to police, the informant went to the restaurant to make the pickup and Crook wrapped it in plastic and placed it in a pizza box before giving it to the informant.

When cops searched the restaurant they found about 22 grams of marijuana, a glass pipe and digital scales inside of a locker and an additional 18 grams of marijuana from a store safe.

After serving a search warrant police also found bags with marijuana residue and other drug paraphernalia inside of Crooks home.

He is being held in the Wake County Jail with a $20,000 bond.
