Trayvon Martin‘s parents have launched a new initiative to abolish the ‘Stand Your Ground‘ law across the country.
The Stand Your Ground Law is a statute that was used in Florida to help George Zimmerman justify the shooting of an unarmed Trayvon Martin. The Change For Trayvon organization plans to use donated funds to support the efforts of candidates, elected officials, and others who support measures to get the law revised.
Their new website also offers a look at states that currently have stand your ground laws, and states where the laws will be voted on in November.
