Paula Deen

Wow! Is there a rock bottom for this woman? Because if there is we sure have not seen it yet! In an absolutely STUNNING move today, CNN reports that the publisher of Paula Deen’s upcoming cookbookBallantine Books, has announced that they are no longer interested in publishing it!

This coming after the book shot to #1 on the Amazon.com Best Seller List …even though it had yet to be released! This was a sure fire money maker for the publisher and they still didn’t want to deal with Paula Deen! Ouch!

Random House spokesperson Stuart Applebaum told CNN in a statement:

“After careful consideration, Ballantine Books has made the difficult decision to cancel the publication of ‘Paula Deen’s New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes All Lightened Up.’”

The book, titled “Paula Deen’s New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up,” was set to release in October 2013.

Since Paula’s racist behavior was revealed to the masses stemming from  a court deposition  last month Deen has lost a number of her business deals, including Food Network, Smithfield Foods, Wal-Mart, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Home Depot, Target and drugmaker Novo Nordisk, Kmart, JC Penny and now the book that she was clinging to has been snatched away from her as well. We wonder if she gets it yet? We also wonder who’s left to jump ship…guess all eyes are now on New Jersey-based Alice Travel who is sponsoring Deen’s luxury cruises. Will they continue to profit off of the backlash or join the moral majority. Guess only time will tell. Stay tuned!
