Khloe Not A Kardashian? (thumbnail)

It seems like audiences may not be that interested in tuning in to the Kardashian drama anymore.

Several reports hitting the web this afternoon are detailing a looming cancellation of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, a show that once pulled in 4.1 million viewers to see Kim Kardashian tie the knot with Kris Humphries. Why the big fuss? The newest episode that aired Sunday night only attracted about 1.7 million viewers. In comparison to the numbers the Kardashians previously pulled in and the millions of viewers that have tuned in to some of TVs most popular shows (*cough* The Breaking Bad finale had 10 million viewers), the chance of this show lasting much longer doesn’t look too good.

Sources are attributing the loss of interest to Lamar Odom’s alleged drug problems, questions about the ‘reality’ of the show, and Kim not appearing as frequently. Though nothing has been confirmed,  the idea that audiences have become tired of the Kardashian antics doesn’t seem too unbelievable.

E! Network sent an update to Cosmpolitan assuring audiences that the show is not losing popularity. “Keeping Up With The Kardashians remains a destination program. The numbers reported overlook the show’s popularity on DVRs,” a rep confirms.  We’ll just have to wait and see.

How would you feel about this show getting the axe; disappointed or relieved?
