Peace to the entire Hip-Hop Wired nation, massive and crew! We’re back with an update to our CRT FRSH (Certified Fresh) playlist, our last one for August, so let’s get into it.

I want to explain how I approach curating the CRT FRSH playlist. Most importantly, I don’t segregate my Hip-Hop. Every form of music from the main cultural tree deserves a listen and a look. When I construct the playlist, I want to include all regions across the States and, when applicable, across the globe. I also want to entertain every fan of Hip-Hop, not just those who enjoy one segment of it. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s get to it. — D.L. Chandler, lead curator for CRT FRSH

Welcome back to our latest update. Life caught up with us again but we’re back to supply the people with, ahem, fresh music

Setting it off with Moneybagg Yo, the Memphis star’s ” I See Why” sets the tone. We follow that with Richmond, Virginia rapper and producer Nickelus F’s “Tiamat” featuring a fantastic verse from Blu.

BabyChiefDoIt is having himself a fantastic summer, and the Chicago teen’s “Ghetto Love Story” is continuing its breakout run. Mike Shabb, one of Canadian’s best double threats as a rapper and producer, joins with his talented American counterpart, MIKE, for their “Dontsweatit!” collaboration.

Reaching back some months, we decided that BKTHERULA’s “I GO PUNK” should be on our listeners’ radar. The collaboration with Chicago producer Whethan deserves a spin. We follow that with Rapsody’s “You! (DJ Whoo Kid Joint)” and we hope this catches on because this is a version of Rap we’re hoping to hear more from.

YG’s THE GENTLEMEN’S CLUB has several moments across the project we could’ve added but landed on the Tyler, The Creator-assisted “ON THE LOW,” and we follow that with Cavalier’s mesmerizing “Dead Birds” from his excellent Bring Back Weed Spots album.

The Alchemist might be gearing up for a soulful collaborative project with songstress Erykah Badu, and his LIQUID FORM four-pack is full of hard of bars with 2 Chainz flexing on “Beat Like A Key.”

Rome Streetz has one of Hip-Hop’s top albums this year in Sock It To Me, and the track “’95 Mega On Shrooms” might feature the best feature verse in the world from the always confident Styles P.

Salute to Benny The Butcher, Harry Fraud, Denzel Curry, Kenny Beats, Westside Gunn, Busta Rhymes, J Dilla, Lil Wayne, Ovrkast, Self Proclaimed Narcissist, Jay Worthy, George Clinton, LNDN DRGS, Larry June, Jhené Aiko, The Game, Black Thought, Cool & Dre, Oh No, Gangrene, La Reezy, Tha God Fahim, and Mach-Hommy.
