Azealia Banks has nearly burned bridges with everyone – Lil Kim, Perez Hilton, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Lily Allen, Lady Gaga, Pharrell, Angel Haze – and now she’s begging to be let out of her contact with Universal Records on twitter. Banks also said she regretted not signing with Sony and asked someone from the label to buy her out of her contract.
The ‘212’ rapper generated substantial buzz over the past 3 years, but has gained more of a reputation for her endless beefs than her actual music. She’s dropped a couple of EP’s, but the world still awaits her debut album.
At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Universal drops Banks and cuts all ties, because at this point she’s become more of a liability than an asset.
