The power of social media is real.20 year old Jasmine Grady of Wilmington,North Carolina was killed in a single car accident this past weekend and her twin brother is on a campaign to get her favorite rapper to sing at her funeral. Those who knew her stated she was a huge fan of Drake and dreamed of being able to meet him one day. Her twin, Kenneth wanted to honor his sister with her dream so he took to twitter and by the end of the day on Monday, #DrakeSingForJasmin was the #1 trending topic on Twitter worldwide. Kenneth stated that even if Drake doesn’t come for the funeral, he did the right thing by honoring his sister and now many people know who she is. This campaign has gained national attention, it has been posted on several blogs and National Morning Show host Russ Parr even spoke on it this morning on his show. #DrakeSingForJasmin
