The great grandsons of Anna Short Harrington is suing the Quaker Oats Company for $2 Billion plus dollars. According to a NY Daily News report, Harrington was hired by the company back in 1933 to become Aunt Jemima. The family is seeking $2 billion dollars as well as future revenue. According to them compensation was to be made every time Harrington’s likeness was used by the company, calling Aunt Jemima one of the most exploited and abused women in American history.
