Forbes lists Michael Jordan, 52, as becoming the first athlete to become a billionaire!!! The magazine confirmed his ranking in their list of the world’s 290 newest billionaires after the retired basketball star increased his stake in the Charlotte Hornets.

The majority of Jordan’s income comes from Nike payouts which grossed an estimated $2.25 billion in 2013, in which he pocketed $90 million.

However, his stake in the Charlotte Hornets is worth over $500 million.

Looks like LeBron James’ plans of becoming the first billionaire athlete have been canceled thanks to his Airness.
