R&B singer, August Alsina, recently underwent eye surgery to correct a severe disease that was affecting his vision. The “Testimony” singer has plenty to be thankful for as opened up to Richmond radio station, iPower 92.1 to discuss his rare eye disease.
August showed complete humility, documenting his ordeal, uploading a photo of him lying in a hospital bed undergoing corrective surgery. Alsina fans everywhere were devastated to hear of the artists’ misfortune.
Originally, August never specified what he was faced with but has since then decided to share his journey to recovery with the rest of the world. The rare eye disease is known as “keratoconus”, and causes a person’s vision to be significantly blurry. When discussing the unfortunate illness, the New Orleans native implied that you just got to go through the punches.
It’s good to see him in such good spirits, considering all he has endured the past few months. A true hero in our book! We will continue to keep him and his family in our prayers!!!
