Recently, the content president of Nickelodeon said in an interview with Variety that the network plans on bringing back some of the classic TV shows. Russell Hicks announced that we can expect shows like Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, and Doug to return to the small screen.

During the interview Hicks said, “We are looking at our library to bring back ideas, shows that were loved, in a fresh new way.” Within this new plan the network may look to experiment with revamped version of the classic programs such as Rugrats and Hey Arnold! The shows may not come back to TV as a complete series but possibly in other ways like specials or movies and mostly would not take over what’s already programmed for the network.

No word yet on which shows will be re-airing, but he did add that “We are getting ready to bring back some of the ones they’ve told us multiple times they want to have brought back” since many of Nickelodeon’s viewers from back in the day now have children of their own.
