Born in Snow Hill, North Carolina, rapper Rapsody got her start in the business as a part of the group Kooley High. In 2008, Rapsody, born Marlanna Evans, launched her solo music career by signing with 9th Wonder’s It’s A Wonderful World Music Group. She’s released seven musical projects and was a featured MCee during the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher. She is the only guest rap feature on Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp A Butterfly.”
