For the past 20 years Essence has taken over New Orleans every Fourth of July weekend for their annual Essence Music Festival. Now the festival has a new location for the next 2 years, and this time its moving to a whole new continent. If you’re looking to attend Essence Music Festival for 2016 and 2017 be ready to travel to Durban, South Africa! In a partnership with Thekwini Municipality, Essence will bring the fum from New Orleans to South Africa, which will feature performance from both international and local artists.
