Happy happy, joy joy! After rumors and speculation, it has been confirmed that comedian/ actor, Chris Rock, will be hosting the 2016 Oscars!

“I’m so glad to be hosting the Oscars. It’s great to be back.”

Rock took to twitter to announce that he’s back to host the Oscars. He last hosted the 77th Academy Awards show in 2005.

“Chris Rock is truly the MVP of the entertainment industry,” Academy Awards producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said in a statement. “Comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, documentarian — he’s done it all. He’s going to be a phenomenal Oscar host!”

The 88th Academy Awards will air live on ABC February 28.
