The Orlando Magic have hired Frank Vogel to be their head coach. Vogel, 42, spent nearly six seasons as head coach of the Pacers, going 250-181 with two conference finals appearances before being fired two weeks ago.
This is a big hire for the Magic, who were unable to outmaneuver Memphis for Vogel’s services. Vogel now takes the resigns of a promising Orlando team that saw its former coach, Scott Skiles, resign abruptly one week ago.
