Father’s Day was on Sunday, but you wouldn’t have known it if you had looked at Kim, Khloé, or Kourtney Kardashian‘s Instagram pages — at least, if you were looking for their stepfather Caitlyn Jenner.
While the 66-year-old spent Father’s Day with her 18-year-old daughter, Kylie, and got a nice note from Kendall on Instagram, his stepchildren were conspicuously silent when it came to wishing the man they once called their “second father.”
The noticeable dig has people wondering if the wounds of what went down between Caitlyn and her ex-wife Kris Jenner have not yet healed. One insider close to family backed up those thoughts, telling People, “Things aren’t going great with Caitlyn.” Adding, “The way she threw Kris under the bus so badly [in the Vanity Fair cover story last June] made the girls so mad. Khloé still isn’t in a good place with her and hasn’t really forgiven her.”
Kim and Kourtney did, however, share pictures of their biological father, the late Robert Kardashian.
And Kris, for her part, did acknowledge Caitlyn in a collage post that she posted to Instagram honoring all of the fathers in her life:
It’s definitely a small wrinkle of drama in the family that trades in drama. The relationship between the Kardashian women and Caitlyn Jenner may still be strained, but hopefully the two sides can come back together (on an E! special, probably) and be as close as they were for so many years.
