President Barack Obama is leaving the White House in the only way he can: Absolute grace and style.

Last night, the Commander-in-Chief celebrated his 55th birthday with a star-studded party that included Tamia and Grant Hill, Magic Johnson, Ellen DeGeneres, Fonzworth Bentley, Reverend Al Sharpton, Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel, and ABC anchor Robin Roberts.

According to ABC News, although the hand-picked guest list was not released in advance, and the majority of guests did not confirm they were attending, nor post anything on social media about the soiree immediately after it ended, the identities of some of the bold-faced attendees have begun to trickle out.

In a nutshell, it was top secret.

But social media never lies, with shots of a couple celebs entering and leaving the White House.

For his big day, Obama penned a piece for Glamour magazine about being a feminist.

“This is an extraordinary time to be a woman,” he says. “The progress we’ve made in the past 100 years, 50 years, and, yes, even the past eight years has made life significantly better for my daughters than it was for my grandmothers,” he wrote. “And I say that not just as president but also as a feminist.”

Adding, “So we shouldn’t downplay how far we’ve come. That would do a disservice to all those who spent their lives fighting for justice. At the same time, there’s still a lot of work we need to do to improve the prospects of women and girls here and around the world. And while I’ll keep working on good policies—from equal pay for equal work to protecting reproductive rights—there are some changes that have nothing to do with passing new laws.”

But the cherry on top was his special birthday shout-out from First Lady Michelle Obama on Instagram.

“55 years young and that smile still gets me every single day. Happy birthday, Barack. I love you. -mo”

We’re sure the celebration was phenomenal!
