Jamaica’s Usain Blot has won his final individual Olympic race, the men’s 200m final. Bolt was well ahead of the entire pack for much of the race, finishing with a time of 19.79. He has won gold in this event for 3 consecutive Olympics and has now won six individual Olympic gold medals. Bolt has 8 total gold medals and can achieve a 9th gold medal with a win in the men’s relay today.
Bolt announced that he would retire after these Olympics and has held to that commitment.
