Producer Mario Winans is a free man after being arrested and released on $25,000 bail recently. The former Bad Boy records music maker admitted that he owed the IRS over $400,000 in taxes today.
Winans, who produced hits for Biggie Smalls, Eminem, Diddy, Destiny’s Child and many more acts, admitted to failing to file tax returns from 2009-2012.
The Fort Lee Daily Voice reports that the producer controlled two companies, Yellow City LLC and RioWorld LLC, which received over $3 million in royalties.
A judge set a sentencing date of January 24 for Mario Winans, although it is doubtful that he will receive any prison time, but will mostly likely be forced to pay off his back tax debt with penalties and interest
