According to a recent report from CNN Bill Cosby will not be testifying in his defense during his upcoming sexual assault trial because he does not want to face cross examination. In his first interview in years Cosby said:
“What people want to say, want you to say, and how they maneuver — yes, I do have lawyers to protect me, ‘objections,’ ‘sustained’ — but I just don’t want to sit there and have to figure out what I believe is a truthful answer as to whether or not I’m opening a can of something that … my lawyers are scrambling.”
Cosby made the comments on Tuesday in an interview with CNN that aired on Sirius XM radio.
This was the first time that Cosby has addressed the issue publicly since 2014.
