Cleveland Cavilers player, JR Smith, and his wife Jewel Smith were all smiles on Tuesday as they were able to bring their premature daughter, Dakota, home for the first time.

According to ESPN, Dakota was born five months premature back in January and has been at the neonatal intensive care unit at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, since.

At the time of her birth, Dakota only weighed one pound, and on Tuesday when she left the hospital, she was 7 pounds and 5 ounces.

Smith and his wife have been sharing their journey with others through social media.

On Tuesday, Smith said, “We Walked in Together We Walked out Together!! Thank you so much to our extended family at the #NICU You all are truly the worlds greatest!”
