Rapper DMX was in court earlier to face those pesky tax evasion charges. X was in jail last week before posting $500,000 bond for 14 counts of tax evasion. The IRS claims that he skipped out on paying about $1.7 million in taxes from 2002-2005. He was also charged with failing to file tax returns for 2010- 2015, and also filing a false bankruptcy affidavit. Prosecutors allege that X went through some extreme measures to avoid paying taxes including not having any personal bank accounts, setting up accounts in other’s names and only using cash when paying for personal expenses.
