Earlier this year it was announced that #DonaldGlover would be the voice of Simba in the remake of the Disney classic #TheLionKing, and #JamesEarlJones would reprise his role as Mufasa.
Now another well-known name has been added to the cast, which builds the anticipation for the live-action remake.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, #AlfreWoodard joins the cast as the voice of Sarabi, which is Simba’s mom. Madge Sinclair originally voiced the character of Sarabi in the 1994 animation.
Jeff Nathanson has penned the script for the remake, and Jeffrey Silver will produce alongside Jon Favreau, who is also directing.
