Rappers Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert might be the newest dynamic duo in Hip Hop. The two are reportedly working on a new mixtape. Carti teased fans on his Snapchat over the weekend when he posted a picture of a 70’s punk rock group with the caption “Carti Uzi Tape * Uzi Carti Tape * 16.29.”
According to Billboard:
Anticipation for a full-length Uzi/Carti collaboration has reached a fever pitch, as both rappers have enjoyed major profile boosts this year. It would serve as further momentum for Carti, whose eponymous debut mixtape peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 in April and spawned the Top 40 single, “Magnolia.” Uzi, on the other hand, could enjoy a victory lap after his debut studio album, Luv is Rage 2, topped the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this month.
