Over the last couple of days, H&M has been under a lot of fire for a Ad that pictured a little Kenyan boy wearing a “Coolest Monkey In The Jungle” hoodie. Since the ad’s release, many celebrities and customers have vowed to cut ties with the company and boycott their clothing. The Weeknd even released a statement saying that he will no longer be in a business relationship with the clothing brand, just one year after releasing a clothing line sold at H&M stores.

Tuesday morning, H&M finally released an official apology stating, “We’re deeply sorry that the picture was taken, and we also regret the actual print. Therefore, we’ve not only removed the image from our channels, but also the garment from our product offering.” However, most people felt like the apology was a little too late and still insist on boycotting the company.

Not everyone sees a problem with the ad, though. Tuesday, texts messages from the little boy’s mom, Terry Mango, were released and she doesn’t seem to feel like there wasn’t a problem! She says “this is one of hundreds of outfits my son has modeled.” She then continued on to say, “stop crying Wolf all the time, unnecessary issue here……get over it.” She feels like if she was the one who bought the outfit, it wouldn’t be racist. She then explains, “I get pples opinion, but they are not mine.”

I don’t know about you all, Live Squad, but this is definitely not what I expected. Check back in for updates!
