An ex-employee of TBS has taken out a law suit against the company and it’s parent company, because she says that black employees are paid less and have to work much harder than their peers to get promotions.

According to TMZ, Wanda Byrd, who is black and worked for TBS for 13 years, says she was overlooked for a promotion and feels it is due to her color and race.

Documents obtained by TMZ show that TBS does have a significanlty lower rate of promoting African Americans and there has also never been a black employee to hold a title of Senior VP or higher. Byrd also says that the company keeps most blak employees in certain departments, segregating them from others.

Wanda Byrd says she is not only suing for her but is hoping to create a class lawsuit to gain reperations for all of those efdected at the companies.
