Singer Mary J. Blige is continuing to expand her acting resume. MJB is a two-time Academy Award nominee, and she will soon be starring in the new action series on Netflix entitled The Umbrella Academy.
The show will be based on a series of graphic novels that follow members of a dysfunctional family of superheroes. The family works together to solve the mysterious death of their father while sorting through some personal matters.
Mary will be a regular on the show, and will play “Cha-Cha’ who is a ruthless hitwoman who travels through time to kill people.
