On the last Sunday of Black History Month, former first lady, Michelle Obama, made the announcement that she will be releasing her first memoir and second book. The book will be titled, “Becoming” and has officially been set to release this November!
The book will give readers insight on Michelle’s upbringing on the South Side of Chicago, “Chronicling the experience that has shaped her – from her childhood” up until her years of fulfilling the roles of a wife, mother, and eventually first lady.
The former first lady says, “Writing ‘Becoming’ has been a deeply personal experience” she goes on to say, “I talk about my roots and how a girl from the South Side found her voice. I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can’t wait to share my story.”
