Okay Live Squad, remember when BET announced that they were going to do a follow up to their extremely successful miniseries, “The New Edition Story?” Well that time has finally come! BET is gearing up for the upcoming two-part miniseries “The Bobby Brown Story” and trust me from the list of cast members they just announced, every female is going to want to see this!
Last year, BET went ahead and let us know that Woody McClain will be continuing his role from “The New Edition Story” and play Bobby Brown, once again. However, they were sure to add to some of our favorite “snacks”, I mean actors, to the cast! According to Deadline, Mekhi Phifer, Laz Alonso, Lance Gross, and Lil Rel Howery will all have roles in the miniseries.
Lance Gross will be playing the role of childhood friend, Steven Sealy, while Mekhi Phifer will portray Brown’s brother, Tommy Brown. Howery and Alonso will be seen, in the series, acting out the roles of Bobby’s manager and an MCA executive.
Filming has reportedly already began in Atlanta and BET is planning on having a two-night premiere later this year, in September! Will you all be tuning in, Live Squad?
