Monday, a video of Safaree, doing a radio interview hours after being robbed at gunpoint, went viral. Now two men, Johnathan Ricketts and Shawn Harewood, were reportedly taken into police custody after police chased them from New Jersey into New York.

According to Safaree, who’s last name is Samuels, says the culprits got away with both cash and jewelry, amounting up to $183,000. His attorney, James Leonard Jr, says “This was not some random stick up the attempt, this was an ambush specifically targeting Safaree by several men with guns. The actual facts of what happened are chilling and it is only by the grace of God that this incident did not have a different ending and for that, we are extremely grateful.”
