A police officer in Detroit is suing Trey Songz for allegedly punching him in the face.

According to TMZ the officer’s name is Sgt. Robert Avery, and he stated that on December 28, 2016 he was working a concert where the singer got on the microphone and said “if a n**** cut me off I’m goin’ the f*** crazy.” Trey was referring to the fact that the venue had turned off the lights on the stage because the concert had run over it’s allotted time.

Sources say that “Trey ended up hurling heavy equipment off the stage and then jumped off the stage himself, picked up a mic stand, threw it and hit a photographer … who’s also suing.”

Trey was subsequently arrested by Sgt. Avery who says that while taking him into custody Trey was combative and hit him in the face causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head on the concrete.

Also according to TMZ:

The cop says Trey hurled hateful comments, including, “F*** you cracker. White motherf******. F*** all you honkeys and f*** the police.”

Trey was arrested and charged with assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer as well as aggravated assault. He pled guilty to 2 counts of disturbing the peace.

As for his middle finger mug shot, the docs say Songz refused to cooperate during the booking process.
