It’s no secret that Trump’s star on the #HollywoodWalkOfFame has been vandalized a few times since he’s taken office. However, the West Hollywood City Council is now looking to have the star removed. The West Hollywood City Council recently voted to have Trump’s star removed from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Mayor John Duran tweeted about it late Monday.

The council will now send a formal letter to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, the Los Angeles City Council and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, asking them to consider removing Trump’s star. However, a recent statement from the chamber has many people thinking that the removal of the star will unlikely happen.

Leron Gubler, the organization’s president, and CEO said, “The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a registered historic landmark. Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.”
