Many people are probably under the impression that Birdman owns Cash Money and Lil Wayne owns Young Money outright. While this is now a true statement, that wasn’t necessarily the case.
Weezy was technically not the sole “owner” of Young Money as he was in a joint 51-49 ownership with Cash Money–meaning he didn’t have full control over the company, nor did he own it outright.
During his latest sit-down with #Billboard, Wayne revealed that those days are over as he is now the official sole owner of Young Money following his three year legal battle with Birdman. The two settled for an undisclosed amount, and owning his company outright was a part of that settlement.
