Solange is on the verge of releasing her latest album. After her 2016 critically acclaimed album, A Seat At The Table, Solange has been quiet. In an interview with the New York Times, she told journalist, Ayana Mathis that this album, “There is a lot of jazz at the core, but with electronic and hip-hop drum and bass because I want it to bang and make your trunk rattle.”
She began working on the album last year. She recorded the music in New Orleans, Topanga Canyon and Jamaica. There currently isn’t a title or a release date for the new album, but it should drop sometime this fall. Solange describes her new album as “warm,” “fluid,” and “more sensual”. Hmmm, now that sounds interesting! Go, Solange!
