At the end of season 7, Orange Is The New Black will end. Yep, the long-running dramedy will finish it’s final season next year. Netflix made the announcement yesterday.
The series’ creator and showrunner Jenji Kohan, said “I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we’ve worked with. My heart is orange but fade to black. After seven seasons, it’s time to be released from prison.” Based on Piper Kerman’s memoir Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison, has been a history maker. From being the first show to get nominated in both comedy and drama categories at the Emmys it also was nominated 12 times for its first season.
Netflix’s vice president of original content, Cindy Holland, said that the series “will definitely be going out on a high.” Wow can’t believe that it’s almost over. WOW!
