Rapper Tyler, the Creator is working on expanding his brand outside of music. The leader of Odd Future has landed a deal with Sony Pictures that will allow him to create both scripted and unscripted content for TV and other digital platforms for Sony through his Bald Face Production company with his partner Lionel Boyce.
Sony Pictures Television president Jeff Frost said “To be partnering with the creative genius of Tyler, the Creator and Lionel Boyce is a dream come true for us as we’ve long been fans of their work.” He also added “Tyler’s unconventional ingenuity is unparalleled, and we are excited about the prospect of what we can create together.”
This isn’t Tyler’s first time working in TV. He previously developed shows for the Adult Swim network and Viceland.
