Singer Chris Brown has been released without being charged in Paris after being accused of rape by a woman according to French police.

The incident is still being investigated according to the prosecutor in the case.

Brown and two other men were arrested on Monday after a woman claimed that she was sexually assaulted in a hotel earlier this month.

Brown posted on his Instagram page:

“I want to make it perfectly clear, this is false,” he wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture that said: “This bitch lyin’.

He then added “I wanna make it perfectly clear…this is false,” before going on to say it was “against my character and morals”.

Brown’s lawyer said that the singer is planning to sue for defamation. The two men who were arrested with Brown have also been released.
