Congratulations to the Grammy Award winning rapper for being awarded with an honorary degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston. Berklee is one of the many prestigious colleges in the nation and #DrElliott is the first female rapper to receive a degree from this place.
Berklee made a statement about #Missy stating “She is a groundbreaking solo superstar, pioneer, producer, songwriter, singer and rapper”. #MissyElliott has won 10 Grammy’s.
#JustinTimberlake was also rewarded the same degree because #Berklee wanted to “recognize the recipients for their achievements and influences in music and for their enduring global impact”. We are happy to hear about this award and look forward to seeing who else will receive a degree.
