Fans are still mourning the loss of hip hop rapper #NipseyHussle. Nipsey had been gunned down in front of his own clothing store in Los Angeles. Today, #DJKhaled released his highly anticipated album ‘Father Of Ashad’ and it features a video for #NipseyHussle , #JohnLegend and #DJKhaled ‘s song ‘Higher’.
In the video, #Nipsey is dressed in a royal blue suit and he begins to rap about his past and growing up in his LA neighborhood. Nipsey name drops his son and daughter stating “Mani turned ten, Kross turned two” and his girlfriend #LaurenLondon. “Los Angeles love, kinda of like Hussle and Boog” is one of the lines in the song.
Singer #JohnLegend is also in the music video singing and playing the piano. At the end #DJKhaled pays a tribute to the late rapper. You can feel the angelic presence of #Nipsey through the video. The colors and his attire gives his fans the opportunity to feel his presence again.
DJ Khaled announced that the proceeds from the video will be donated to Nipsey’s children stating “Recently, I embarked on a soul-searching journey down a road I never thought I would travel in a million years”. He also stated “It is in this spirit, of moving forward, of preserving his mission that I, my co-writers and producers and label partners are donating 100% of all of our proceeds from ‘Higher’ to Nipsey’s children, Emani and Kross”.
