The world has watched the Dreamchaser rapper, #MeekMill experience a unique journey during his rap career. From jail, to being racially profiled, this man has a story for just about anything. Ever since his release, #Meek has been a man of many endeavors. From his #1 album to being a criminal justice reform advocate, we never know what we can expect from him.
Recently, Meek told Business Insider that he will lead the creative strategy for #Lids, a hat store. He also revealed he will be releasing a limited-edition line of hats. “I’ve been shopping at Lids my whole life, wearing hats, fitteds, and of course fitted hates and caps. In our culture, it’s been a big thing. So it was something I ain’t have to think twice about and always believed in, that it’ll work” says Meek during the interview.
Michael Rubin, the co-owner for the #NBA Philadelphia 76ers is the executive chairman of Fanatics (The company over Lids). Meek Mill is from Philly and the two of them have a very close relationship. Immediately after Meek’s release, he attended a home basketball game in #Philly. #Rubin went to visit Meek while he was incarcerated and was responsible for the helicopter Meek hopped in after his prison release.
